From 25 July to 27 July 2022 we held our national conference in Cairns at the Crystalbrook Bailey Hotel, and  it was great to be back together again for the first time since Sydney in early 2020.

It was a well attended event, being our first post Covid physical conference, with multiple online conferences and workshops in the interim.

As always, Bob Fowler kicked off the event, welcoming many new faces who had joined FYG since 2020.

The whole morning of Day 1 was taken by Dr Adam Fraser  with sessions on sustaining our wellbeing and performance, which was an extremely well received and engaging session and workshop.

After lunch the first afternoon session was an update on FYG’s transformational IT project, taken by FYG Executive Director Jason Fowler and General Manager Andrew Wootton.

The final morning session was taken by Andrew Braun from Netwealth who presented on a new way to think about Australian investors.

After lunch, Andrew Wootton moderated a Q&A with FYG adviser Michael Sheekey of ATC Advisers who discussed client feedback and getting a better understanding of what clients are looking for.
